5bfbc076 | 2026-09-16 00:08:28 | Drop v1 of the aws-cli: it enteref maintenance mode on July 15, 2026 and will reach end-of-support on July 15, 2027. v2 is a drop-in replacement for most use cases, and there's no point in maintaining 2 versions in tree. v1 can still be installed with pip if needed. Both ports received an "@option is-branch" so you will need to select the package version during installation.. Why v2 at all? AWS now only generates v2 key/secret pairs by default.
