Translator: Fix pruning functions that declare a struct
When pruning unused functions, the entire declaration of the function is
removed. If the function declares a struct as part of its return value,
the declaration of that struct was lost. This change makes sure that
declaration survives the pruning. For example:
struct S { vec4 v; } unused_func() { ... }
is now replaced with:
struct S { vec4 v; };
This change also makes struct usage validation more stringent.

Translator: Validate precisions
When declaring a variable, a struct field, function parameter etc,
there's a precision necessarily applied to the entity being declared.
AST Validation is added to enforce this. Intermediate nodes derive
their precision from these entities automatically.
Consistency of intermediate nodes is not validated. This is because AST
transformations replace a node with a transformed one, and that may not
have the same precision. Take the following code:
mediump float x = ...;
mediump float y = ...;
... x + y ...
and assume is transformed as such:
highp float driver_uniform;
... (x * driver_uniform) + y ...
The addition was originally done in mediump, but would seemingly need to
be done in highp after transformation. There are a number of options
here:
- Make sure that when nodes are replaced, the precision is unaffected.
This can be intrusive, requiring temp variables.
- Bubble up the new precision
- Accept the discrepancy
ANGLE opts for the last option, which actually respects the original
shader's intended precision for operations, even if some transformation
needs to temporarily evaluate an expression at a higher precision.

This workaround was implemented for a bug in Nvidia driver 387 which is
end-of-life. More recent driver branches (390 and 4XX) are fixed, and

Get direct-to-Metal backend to run angle_end2end_tests.
Cherry-pick nameless struct fix from Apple in
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=227482 .
Fix SeparateCompoundStructDeclarations pass to stop generating
multiple declarations; thanks syoussefi@ for advice.
Incorporate additional passes from TranslatorVulkan
(MonomorphizeUnsupportedFunctionsInVulkanGLSL,
RewriteArrayOfArrayOfOpaqueUniforms,
SeparateStructFromUniformDeclarations) needed by RewriteStructSamplers
pass in TranslatorMetalDirect. Fixes many assertion failures in GLSL
tests. Moved these passes out of tree_ops/vulkan. Thanks again to
syoussefi@ for advice and help.
Disable a validation check related to the RewritePipelines pass. Skip
two tests that were failing for other reasons.
With these changes, angle_end2end_tests runs to completion when the
direct-to-Metal backend is turned on. There are still ~1300 failures
of the ~4000 tests which will be investigated next.

Vulkan: Direct SPIR-V Gen: Support the precise keyword
The precise keyword is different in GLSL in that it defines what
arithmetic operations _that have led to the value being assigned to a
variable_ should be done precisely (i.e. not "contracted").
A tree traverser is implemented that detects precise access chains and
applies precise-ness to the right hand side of assignment expressions to
said access chains. This is only done if the shader uses the precise
keyword in the first place. The algorithm for this is inspired by the
implementation in glslang.
This change additionally:
- Fixes parser to allow precise on function parameters
- Fixes GLSL code generation to output precise on struct members and
function parameters.

Some transformations left the tree in an inconsistent state, for example
if it used gl_SampleMask from ES3.1+OES_sample_variables and the
transformation added a usage of gl_SampleMask from ES3.2. The offending
transformations are fixed and AST validation is improved to catch such
errors.

Translator: Facilitate integration in FireFox
Instead of relying on is_apple to build workarounds applied on apple
hardware, a new build argument is added for this purpose. This allows
FireFox to more easily include these files in their build system (which
builds every workaround on every platform).
The workarounds are reorganized too and moved from tree_ops/gl/mac to
tree_ops/apple. RewriteRowMajorMatrices is moved there too as it's now
used by both gl and metal. This workaround is large, and removing it
from non-apple builds improves binary size (~40KB on Linux).

Limit the size of declared variables in WebGL shaders.
Add an implementation-specific limit for the sizes of variables
(specifically arrays, structs, and arrays of structs) in WebGL 1.0 and
2.0 shaders, and interface blocks in WebGL 2.0 shaders, no matter
whether they're input, output, or local variables.
It is legal in the OpenGL ES and OpenGL ES Shading Language
specifications to fail to compile shaders for implementation-specific
reasons.
Add WebGLCompatibilityTests covering the new limit.

Translator: Generate Ops for all built-in functions
EOpCallBuiltInFunction is removed in this change, as well as the
"op": "auto" property in builtin_function_declarations.txt. Instead,
gen_builtin_symbols.py automatically generates Ops for every built-in
function and generates the TOperator enum accordingly.
This simplifies SPIR-V code generation by allowing switches to be used
on operators instead of string comparisons.

Translator: Allow invariant on I/O block members
The GLSL ES 3.2 spec says:
> Only variables output from a shader can be candidates for invariance.
And:
> All uses of invariant must be at global scope or on block members, and
> before any use of the variables being declared as invariant.
As a result, it's possible to specify `invariant` on a member of an
output I/O block.

The integer clamp used in this transformation is not available in es100
shaders, and float clamp is used instead.

Remove unused translator option bits
Usage of SH_DONT_REMOVE_INVARIANT_FOR_FRAGMENT_INPUT is removed from
ANGLE by [1], and from the validating command decoder by [2]. The flag
is only ever disabled in Firefox.
SH_REMOVE_POW_WITH_CONSTANT_EXPONENT is removed from the validating
command decoder by [3]. Not used in Firefox.

Vulkan: Shader support for EXT_shader_framebuffer_fetch_non_coherent
Translator can accept gl_LastFragData and 'inout' variable to gain
access to framebuffer attachment data. The Vulkan translator replaces
it with the SubpassInput type variable. Note that this works only for
the noncoherent version of the extension.

Translator: Enable geometry and tessellation in ES3.2
Symbols that these extensions introduced were only accepted if the
extension directive was present. This is not necessary for es 320
shaders. This change adds a new tag to builtin variable and function
declarations in the translator, namely "essl_extension_becomes_core_in"
which makes gen_builtin_symbols.py automatically create two entries for
the builtin; one with the specified level and extension, one with the
core level and without extension. Entries in
builtin_function_declarations.txt can potentially be deduplicated as a
follow up to take advantage of this tag, though likely an anologous
"glsl_extension_becomes_core_in" needs to be introduced.

Organize AST transforms per backend
Most of the AST transforms are written as a workaround to an issue that
affects a single backend. This change identifies such transforms and
organizes them by backend. They are then only built if the respective
backend is.
Additionally, about half of the GL transforms are due to mac
workarounds, including the large RewriteRowMajorMatrices transform.
Mac-specific workarounds are additionally only built on said platform.
This change reduces the ANGLE binary size:
- 106KB in a Vulkan-only build on Linux
- 27KB in a GL-only build on Android (60KB on Linux)

Vulkan: Support OES_shader_io_blocks
Enables OES/EXT_shader_io_blocks extensions in Vulkan backends.
With shader I/O blocks, the varyings can now be an array of struct (the
block itself) of struct (nested in the block).
This change is missing a number of features. In particular, if the
shader I/O block has a location decoration in the middle of the block,
that is not handled yet.

GL: Support GL_OES_texture_cube_map_array in shader translator
GL_OES_texture_cube_map_array is core in 3.2. This CL adds support
for this extension in the shader translator.
Now passes dEQP.KHR_GLES31/core_texture_cube_map_array.*,
dEQP.GLES31/functional_fbo_color_texcubearray_*, and
dEQP.GLES31/functional_opaque_type_indexing*samplercubearray* with GL backend.

Implement GL_APPLE_clip_distance
- Built-in variable gl_ClipDistance has been added to compiler.
- Desktop GL: gl_ClipDistance is supported since GL 3.0. Enable/Disable
each gl_ClipDistances[i] works out of the box via glEnable().
- Vulkan/Metal: Use uniform variable to control writing to each
gl_ClipDistance. One bit flag controls one element in the gl_ClipDistance
array. The writing to the disabled element in vertex shader will be
ignored, and turned into zero assignment instead.
- Direct3D/Mobile GL: Not implemented yet.
- Added ClipDistanceTest to gl_tests and compiler unittests.
- GL_APPLE_clip_distance is a subset of GL_EXT_clip_cull_distance, so
GL_EXT_clip_cull_distance could be implemented in future if needed.

Vulkan:Refactor precision emulation code
GLSL, ESSL, and HLSL translators all had the same code to emulate
precision so migrate that code to base class.
This is a structural change to prepare for honoring precision
qualifiers in the Vulkan translator as well, which is done in a
follow-on commit.

Fix re-enabling ARB_texture_rectangle
My earlier change https://crrev.com/c/1991969 had a bug. If
ARB_texture_rectangle is disabled once, it can't be re-enabled because
the extension behavior entry is deleted. ResetExtensionBehavior needs
to restore it.

Turn on clampArrayAccess globally but off for compute shaders
out-of-bounds-uniform-array-access.html could fail on Linux Nvidia
OpenGL even if GL_KHR_robust_buffer_access_behavior is available.
Turning clampArrayAccess on globally but turn it off for Compute Shader,
which is not used by WebGL so should be okay.
FYI: The failures when turning this on globally are all in compute shaders.
One could be fixed by using int cast instead of float for the clamp
modifier. The other is due to array.length() couldn't return correct
result for array in SSBO.

Fixing OVR_multiview and OVR_multiview2 issues
Found two issues when native OVR_multiview and OVR_multiview2 extensions are generated.
1. OVR_multiview got replaced by the OVR_multiview2 in the translated shader (ESSL & GLSL)
2. Duplicate #extension OVR_multiview2 (for Fragment & Vertex) and 'layout (num_views=x)' (for Vertex) got generated into the translated shader.

Optimize disabling ARB_texture_rectangle
In https://crrev.com/c/1838418 I added the ability to disable
ARB_texture_rectangle so that we can use it in the WebGL implementation
but disable it when compiling user shaders. Unfortunately disabling
and re-enabling the extension causes the shader translator to be
reinitialized which turns out to be more expensive than the actual
work of shader translation, at least for small shaders. It's slow enough
to cause timeouts in WebKit's WebGL conformance test runs.
This introduces an alternate method of disabling ARB_texture_rectangle
in the translator which is much faster because it avoids reinitializing
the translator.

Add SH_REMOVE_DYNAMIC_INDEXING_OF_SWIZZLED_VECTOR
This is a workaround for the webgl2 conformance test case
WebglConformance_conformance2_glsl3_vector_dynamic_indexing_swizzled_lvalue.
Dynamic indexing of swizzled lvalue like "v.zyx[i] = 0.0" is problematic on
various platforms. This removes the indexing by translating it this way:

Implement Draw base vertex and base instance functions
This patch implements functionality of glDrawArraysInstancedBaseInstanceANGLE,
glDrawElementsInstancedBaseVertexBaseInstanceANGLE,
glMultiDrawArraysInstancedBaseInstanceANGLE,
and glMultiDrawElementsInstancedBaseVertexBaseInstanceANGLE
Workaround for OpenGL driver on Mac:
gl_VertexID on Mac with AMD GPU doesn't include baseVertex value.
So replace gl_VertexID with (gl_VertexID + angle_BaseVertex) if any.
Workaround for Vulkan GLSL:
gl_InstanceIndex on Vulkan includes baseInstance. So replace
gl_InstanceIndex with (gl_InstanceIndex - angle_BaseInstance) when
angle_BaseInstance is declared.

Translator: Allow tree validation in children of TCompiler
This is to be able to perform validation inside TranslatorVulkan, even
if it's through ASSERTs.
Additionally, every transformation is changed such that they do their
validation themselves. TIntermTraverser::updateTree() performs the
validation, which indirectly validates many of three tree
transformations. Some of the more ancient transformations that don't
use this function directly call TCompiler::validateAST.

Standardize copyright notices to project style
For all "ANGLE Project" copyrights, standardize to the format specified
by the style guide. Changes:
- "Copyright (c)" and "Copyright(c)" changed to just "Copyright".
- Removed the second half of date ranges ("Y1Y1-Y2Y2"->"Y1Y1").
- Fixed a small number of files that had no copyright date using the
initial commit year from the version control history.
- Fixed one instance of copyright being "The ANGLE Project" rather than
"The ANGLE Project Authors"
These changes are applied both to the copyright of source file, and
where applicable to copyright statements that are generated by
templates.

Vulkan: Compute shader support
A DispatchHelper class is created as the equivalent of FramebufferHelper
as a command graph resource. There's currently a single dispatcher and
all dispatch calls are recorded on that. Context dirty bits are set up
in such a way that graphics and compute workloads are independently
handled, so that issuing a dispatch call wouldn't cause a framebuffer's
render pass to rebind resources.

Add flags to shader translator to emulate gl_BaseVertex and gl_BaseInstance
Adds support for translating gl_BaseVertex and gl_BaseInstance for implementation of
GL_ANGLE_base_vertex_base_instance.
They will only be available in WebGL 2. Since there's no gl_VertexID and
gl_InstanceID in WebGL 1. It won't be very useful to add them to WebGL

Restore flatten invariant behavior
This was removed with a previous commit to fix behavior of invariant
pragma overall, however, the flattening is still needed for the initial
translation step of webGL VSs.
This change restores the flattening as it previously existed, however it
is now only applied to VS outputs. FS inputs are no longer flattened as
the previous fixes preclude the need for that workaround any longer.

ESSL 1.00 spec allows for variable with same name to override outer variable
inside of a nested scope. This change adds new scope to symbol table inside
of a function defintion, but after function parameters for ESSL 1.00
shaders (but not webGL). This prevents an error while parsing.
This also includes some new code in translator to rename any vars that are
redefined between the function body and the function parameters. This
prevents an error later on when the translated shader is then parsed as
a desktop GLSL version.

Vulkan: Rework layout block storage conversion
Previously, a pass over the shader was made, converting shared and
packed interface blocks with block storage to std140. This resulted in
link success between interface blocks with different storage as they
were all translated to std140.
With this change, this pass is removed. The link step proceeds with the
block storage specifiers as seen by GLES, and only upon Vulkan GLSL
shader generation "shared" and "packed" are converted to std140.

Vulkan:Only apply invariant pragma to output vars
The "#pragma STDGL invariant(all)" directive should only be applied to
shader output vars. This change also removes the workaround
SH_DONT_REMOVE_INVARIANT_FOR_FRAGMENT_INPUT which is no longer needed.
This change fixes two tests that were incorrectly assuming that the
pragma would be applied to inputs: GLSLTest.InvariantAll[Both|In].

Vulkan: add uniform buffer object support
Support for layout qualifiers in interface blocks are added. All
interface blocks are adjusted to either be in std140 or std430.
In the Vulkan backend, a new descriptor set is added for UBOs. A dirty
bit is added for UBO updating and pipeline layouts and descriptor
bindings are updated.

changes include:
1) GL_OVR_multiview to GL_OVR_multiview2 extension directive change
2) Removal of all references to side by side. We no longer support multiple views in a single 2DTexture. Only 2DTextureArray's are supported
3) WebGL 2 (ES3) is required for multiview

custom allocator for CommandPools. Modified it to support reallocation.
