Kimmo Kinnunen 20b6624a 2023-04-17T13:55:09 Metal: Support compiling on iOS without EAGL Makes EAGL and CGL compilation exclusive to each other. Catalyst would compile with both on ARM64, but only use EAGL. Remove use of GLSL generation in MSL. Generating GLSL for MSL compute and geometry shaders do not make sense. Remove compilation of RewriteRowMajorMatrices for Metal. It was removed from Metal in: b23bf47c9e999532a684beab9ac901552420b0b8 Reland "Metal: rewrite default uniforms and uniform blocks" Remove use of ANGLE_ENABLE_APPLE_WORKAROUNDS and gn variable angle_enable_apple_translator_workarounds. The workarounds are just unconditional business-as-usual implementation of ANGLE when ANGLE is compile for PLATFORM_APPLE. The latest vulkan-deps change https://github.com/KhronosGroup/Vulkan-Headers/commit/ 00671c64ba5c488ade22ad572a0ef81d5e64c803 has moved the header inclusion of below files to vulkan_core.h: vk_video/vulkan_video_codec_h264std.h vk_video/vulkan_video_codec_h264std_decode.h vk_video/vulkan_video_codec_h265std.h vk_video/vulkan_video_codec_h265std_decode.h But did not add them to the BUILD.gn file. The presubmit script export_targets.py is complaining about "Included file must be listed in the GN target or its public dependency." Add the above files to the IGNORED_INCLUDES list. Tim Van Patten b55f0f78 2020-06-02T18:01:24 Compress Program binaries saved in blob cache The Android blob cache has a limit of 2MB, so ANGLE should compress the Program binaries that are saved into it to maximize its effectiveness. ANGLE will gzip the program binaries before being stored in the blob cache and then uncompress them when retrieved. Using gzip, the binaries are compressed to ~25% of their size when running the T-Rex benchmark. Some examples (in bytes): Uncompressed: 20193, Compressed: 4455 Uncompressed: 8767, Compressed: 2369 Uncompressed: 11144, Compressed: 2927 This doesn't appear to affect the T-Rex benchmark since all of the programs are loaded/decompressed as part of the benchmark initialization, and the programs are small enough to all fit in the blob cache without compression. Allows the app to pass in a stream descriptor to VkCreateSurfaceKHR. Mirrors VK_GGP_stream_descriptor_surface. * EGL_ANGLE_swap_with_frame_token: Introduces a new function 'eglSwapBuffersWithFrameTokenANGLE'. This allows the app to pass a GGP frame token down to vkQueuePresentKHR. Mirrors VK_GGP_frame_token. Firefox can use this as the first half of our ANGLE vendoring process. Included additions to src/libGLESv2.gni were found with: $ export_targets.py out //:libEGL Eventually, it would be nice to have this as a presubmit check.
