Allow evdns_base_new to succeed with no nameservers configured If resolv.conf has no nameservers, evdns_base_new can still succeed with the default of using the name server from localhost matching the man page documentation for resolv.conf.

1. BUILDING AND INSTALLATION
Autoconf

CMake (Windows)
Install CMake: https://www.cmake.org

Package Managers
You can download and install libevent using the vcpkg dependency manager:
git clone https://github.com/Microsoft/vcpkg.git cd vcpkg ./bootstrap-vcpkg.sh ./vcpkg integrate install ./vcpkg install libeventThe libevent port in vcpkg is kept up to date by Microsoft team members and community contributors. If the version is out of date, please create an issue or pull request on the vcpkg repository.
