GL: Adjust APPLE_clip_distance exposure
Partial revert of
I458cad29c10b9d9193c5233e24bac53361ba104e
APPLE_clip_distance cannot be implemented on top of
EXT_clip_cull_distance because the former is defined both
for ES 2.0 and ES 3.0 while the latter is defined only for ES 3.0.
Although some ES 3.0+ drivers allow gl_ClipDistance built-in in
ESSL 1.00 shaders, this behavior is not specified so ANGLE should
not allow it.
Added independent ESSL 3.00 gl_ClipDistance and gl_MaxClipDistances
definitions.
Adjusted translator unit tests.

Translator: Clean up the compile flag passing interface
Historically, compile flags were sent to the translator as a bitmask.
Recently, we were getting close to running out of bits. Additionally,
direct-to-metal work had started to introduce constants to be passed to
the translator, which were misplaced in ShBuiltInResources and Caps.
Recent work on Pixel Local Storage adds even more constants, aggravating
the situation.
In this change, the interface to passing compile flags is reworked. A
struct is passed (instead of a bitmask) that has one bit for each flag.
This can be indefinitely extended. Additionally, the constants needed
by metal and PLS are also placed in this struct. In turn, the backends
can set these options directly, and don't have to hack them into Caps to
further get hacked into ShBuiltInResources.

Make PLS coherent on desktop OpenGL
Implements ANGLE_shader_pixel_local_storage_coherent using fragment
shader synchronization extensions:
NV_fragment_shader_interlock
INTEL_fragment_shader_ordering
ARB_fragment_shader_interlock
With these extensions combined, we get coherency all 3 big desktop
vendors: NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD.

Implement GLSL additions for ANGLE_shader_pixel_local_storage
Specs out, implements, and thoroughly tests the GLSL additions for
ANGLE_shader_pixel_local_storage. Adds a simple transformation that
rewrites PLS directly into shader images. Updates the existing PLS tests
to use the newly built-in PLS features and ensures they continue
passing.
For now, applications call glBindImageTexture to configure their pixel
local storage. The OpenGL ES API side of this extension will follow
shortly.

If a bit-shift expression is passed as a function parameter in HLSL,

Vulkan: Emulate GL_KHR_blend_equation_advanced
Based on a change by Brandon Schade <b.schade@samsung.com>
In the translator, when advanced blend is enabled, an input attachment
is added. Based on the listed advanced blend equations, emulation code
is added that performs those equations' functions. The blend equation
itself is passed through a driver uniform.
Note that the advanced blend extension only allows a single output to
use advanced blend, and that should be at location 0.
In the Vulkan backend, when advanced blend is used, the driver uniform
to select the equation is updated and normal blending is disabled.

Compiler: Allow deferred array sizing in geometry shaders
Based on work by Brandon Schade <b.schade@samsung.com>.
When a shader sets an array input size in a GS after declaring input
variables, compilation would fail.
Example shader -
in vec3 normal[];
in vec3 view_dir[];
in float patch_dist[];
in float e_patch_wire_scale[];
...
layout(triangles) in;
layout(triangle_strip, max_vertices=3) out;
void main() {
...
Update translator to handle such cases.
Also add a new check that there are no remaining unsized
arrays when compilation has completed.

Use [[nodiscard]] on RAII classes
Scoped* classes provide an RAII way of adding cleanup/restore state/etc
in a robust way. Unfortunatley, it's very easy to mistakenly leave the
variable name, leading to the destructor being called immediately
instead of at the end of the scope:
{
ScopedX(parameters); // instead of ScopedX x(parameters);
// Code here is run after destructor
}
The [[nodiscard]] attribute, if specified on the ScopedX class would
lead to a warning (turned to error with -Werror). This change does
that for classes named *Scoped* in ANGLE.

was missing. This was breaking a dEQP. The test may have a bug, but

Vulkan: SPIR-V Gen: Drop dependency to glslang
The SPIR-V gen path is now made default. Compilation through glslang is
still supported for debugging, and is enabled on the GLSL* end2end tests
for smoke testing. On release builds, glslang is not supported.
To test with glslang, add the following gn arg (only necessary if dcheck
is disabled):
angle_enable_spirv_gen_through_glslang = true
Then enable the generateSPIRVThroughGlslang feature. This can be done
by setting an environment variable:
ANGLE_FEATURE_OVERRIDES_ENABLED=generateSPIRVThroughGlslang ./angle_deqp_gles2_tests
Binary size saving:
- 1.3MB on Linux (SPIR-V gen itself: 240KB)
- 730KB on Android (SPIR-V gen itself: 140KB)

Fix bad merge of resetting of dirty bits, breaking
DepthStencilFormatsTest.DepthTextureRender test and perhaps others.
Disable GL_APPLE_clip_distance when the direct-to-Metal compiler is
active. It can not yet handle the gl_ClipDistance array.
Disable use of rectangular textures for IOSurfaces. Metal can bind
IOSurfaces to 2D textures, and this was passing all tests in the
SPIR-V Metal backend. Introducing rectangular textures breaks the
SPIR-V Metal backend, and the tests currently fail on the
direct-to-Metal backend.
Fix several bugs with ProvokingVertex, which was causing
both the SpirV and Direct backends to incorrectly draw
indices.

Skip the following tests on the Metal backend which is still failing
RobustResourceInitTestES3.BlitDepthStencilAfterClearBuffer

Translator: Fix pruning functions that declare a struct
When pruning unused functions, the entire declaration of the function is
removed. If the function declares a struct as part of its return value,
the declaration of that struct was lost. This change makes sure that
declaration survives the pruning. For example:
struct S { vec4 v; } unused_func() { ... }
is now replaced with:
struct S { vec4 v; };
This change also makes struct usage validation more stringent.

Translator: Fix assert in ScalarizeVecAndMatConstructorArgs
This transformation assumed that precision can be derived for constants
in every possible scenario, but that's not true. The fuzzer produced
the following code:

In the above, the constant 0 legimitately has no precision. The assert
was in a function that attempted to make a temporary out of the
constant, which this commit changes to use the original constant as-is.

Vulkan: SPIR-V Gen: Fix gl_PerVertex without clip/cull support
When the clip/cull distance extension is not supported, the
gl_ClipDistances and gl_CullDistances arrays were given a size of 0,
which made them translate as OpRuntimeArray.
This change makes sure that these arrays always have a non-zero size.

Translator: Be more explicit about precisions
GLSL ES requires that every symbol (variable, block member, function
parameter and return value) is appropriately qualified with a precision,
either individually or through the global precision specifier.
Some tree transformations however produced symbols with EbpUndefined
precision. In text GLSL output, these would produce unqualified symbols
which was often incorrect.
In this change, the transformations are made to produce explicit / more
consistent precisions. The validation (that caught these issues) is not
included in this change as there are still a few corner cases left to
address.

translator: Fix InitializeVariables with gl_ClipDistance.
The extension allows for the shader to redeclare this variable with
a different size. This would sometimes put the tree in an inconsistent
state when used with the InitializeVariables feature. Fix this by using
the user declaration of gl_ClipDistance when available.
Found when working on trace validation, where using the init output
variables option in the compiler would then cause tree validation to
fail for one specific test.

Translator: Simplify RecordConstantPrecision
Just before ESSL output, this transformation made some constants
specified through temp variables such that their precision can be
specified. This was done in cases where the precision actually affected
the expression being evaluated.
This transformation is simplified by declaring constants more
conservatively as variables, and not stringently attempting to identify
whether that's necessary. This is still not done in trivial cases.
This change is in preparation for another change that overhauls
precision propagation through the nodes. This change removes all
references to TIntermTyped::getPrecision() outside the precision
promotion code itself.

Vulkan: Direct SPIR-V Gen: Support the precise keyword
The precise keyword is different in GLSL in that it defines what
arithmetic operations _that have led to the value being assigned to a
variable_ should be done precisely (i.e. not "contracted").
A tree traverser is implemented that detects precise access chains and
applies precise-ness to the right hand side of assignment expressions to
said access chains. This is only done if the shader uses the precise
keyword in the first place. The algorithm for this is inspired by the
implementation in glslang.
This change additionally:
- Fixes parser to allow precise on function parameters
- Fixes GLSL code generation to output precise on struct members and
function parameters.

Translator: Allow subpassLoad in AST in ESSL
subpassLoad is available to desktop GLSL, but not GLSL ES. With this
change, subpassLoad is made available internally to the AST so that
framebuffer fetch's use of this built-in can be simplified.
Additionally, this makes the tree more consistent in that there's no
function call without a corresponding function declaration.
A follow up change will add an AST validation to enforce this.

Translator: Generate Ops for all built-in functions
EOpCallBuiltInFunction is removed in this change, as well as the
"op": "auto" property in builtin_function_declarations.txt. Instead,
gen_builtin_symbols.py automatically generates Ops for every built-in
function and generates the TOperator enum accordingly.
This simplifies SPIR-V code generation by allowing switches to be used
on operators instead of string comparisons.

Vulkan: Call glslang at compile time
With this change, the ANGLE translator immediately compiles the
generated GLSL into SPIR-V with glslang and discards the source. This
is in preparation for generating SPIR-V directly, by making the frontend
and backend already able to digest it.
This change also allows the expensive glslang calls to be parallelized,
improving the following perf test by about 20%:

Only define test suites when TEST_Ps defined
The EXTClipCullDistanceForVertexShaderCompileFailureTest and
EXTClipCullDistanceForFragmentShaderCompileFailureTest test suites
each contain only one test, which is defined iff ANGLE_ENABLE_VULKAN
is defined. This results in UNINSTANTIATED_PARAMETERIZED_TEST errors.
This problem was discovered by attempting to roll googletest past CL
315255779, which causes test binaries to fail when they include test
suites / parametrized tests that are not instantiated, and when they
include empty test suites.

Build compiler_tests only if GLSL or ESSL build is enabled
Most of these tests use TranslatorGLSL or TranslatorESSL (often through
ShaderCompileTreeTest). In specialized builds that disable GLSL and
ESSL shader generation, disable these unit tests.

GL: Compiler changes for GL_OES_texture_buffer
This extension is core in GLES 3.2
This CL enables the extension, added 412 new dEQP tests for texture
buffer. 410 of these tests pass, but there are two tests that fail,

Validate GLSL attribute location range
The location index of a vertex shader input's layout qualifier must be
less than GL_MAX_VERTEX_ATTRIBS to link successfully. We can check for
this during shader compilation to not rely on other layers to handle
pathological cases.
While strictly speaking only 'active' attributes are considered during
shader linking, this is merely intended to allow for 'uber' shaders to
declare more inputs than GL_MAX_VERTEX_ATTRIBS but only use a subset of
them. There is no known reasonable use case for a manually specified
location to exceed the valid range.
Note that according to http://opengl.gpuinfo.org, the highest
GL_MAX_VERTEX_ATTRIBS value at the time of writing is 32. Also,
D3D12_VS_INPUT_REGISTER_COUNT = 32. Hence the unit test's value of 1000
should be sufficiently future proof.
Also address the case where the uniform location might be close to
INT_MAX and not be detected as out-of-range due to numeric overflow.

Implement GL_APPLE_clip_distance
- Built-in variable gl_ClipDistance has been added to compiler.
- Desktop GL: gl_ClipDistance is supported since GL 3.0. Enable/Disable
each gl_ClipDistances[i] works out of the box via glEnable().
- Vulkan/Metal: Use uniform variable to control writing to each
gl_ClipDistance. One bit flag controls one element in the gl_ClipDistance
array. The writing to the disabled element in vertex shader will be
ignored, and turned into zero assignment instead.
- Direct3D/Mobile GL: Not implemented yet.
- Added ClipDistanceTest to gl_tests and compiler unittests.
- GL_APPLE_clip_distance is a subset of GL_EXT_clip_cull_distance, so
GL_EXT_clip_cull_distance could be implemented in future if needed.

ARB_texture_rectangle is disabled once, it can't be re-enabled because
the extension behavior entry is deleted. ResetExtensionBehavior needs

Vulkan: Set set/binding in SPIR-V
This change introduces a SPIR-V transformer that modifies shader
interface variable decorations directly in SPIR-V instead of
manipulating the input GLSL. Currently, descriptor set and binding
indices are set by the transformer.
The shader translator outputs arbitrary set and binding indices. Once
compiled by glslang, the SPIR-V transformer modifies these decorations.
The ultimate goal is to be able to modify the SPIR-V again when program
pipeline objects decide a different set/binding is necessary.

Translator: Memory qualifiers on SSBO fields
These were not output prior to this CL. Of these qualifiers, readonly
and writeonly are unnecessary as ANGLE already does the appropriate
validation, but the rest (coherent, volatile, restrict) are necessary,
even though the tests pass on the bots by coincidence of driver
behavior/test simplicity.

Implement SamplerVideoWEBGL for WEBGL_video_texture extension on desktop
WEBGL_video_texture is an extension that will improve uploading video frame to WebGL performance.
(https://www.khronos.org/registry/webgl/extensions/proposals/WEBGL_video_texture/)
This extension introduced a new texture type TEXTURE_VIDEO_IMAGE_WEBGL and a new sampler type
samplerVideoWEBGL to sample it.
In chromium implementation, TEXTURE_VIDEO_IMAGE_WEBGL maps to different native texture type
based on platform. On desktop, it maps to GL_TEXTURE2D(Currently supported). On Android, it
should map to GL_TEXTURE_EXTERNAL(TODO). SamplerVideoWEBGL needs to be mapped to sampler2D or
samplerExternalOES according to TEXTURE_VIDEO_IMAGE_WEBGL implementation.
This patch implements samplerVideoWEBGL in Angle to support WEBGL_video_texture on desktop. In
this case, samplerVideoWEBGL should map to sampler2D.

Vulkan: fix handling of inactive atomic counters
The translator emulates atomic counters with a storage buffer array
during translation to Vulkan GLSL. Glslang wrapper then should assign
set/binding to this buffer. However, if the atomic counters are
actually unused in the shader, this assignment is never done.
This change adds a small tree transformation for Vulkan that removes any
uniform or interface block declaration that's not active. In
particular, this makes atomic counter emulation a no-op if no atomic
counters are used. It also has the benefit of not requiring glslang
wrapper to remove such inactive resources.

Add sampler array index validation for ESSL 3.00 onwards
In Section 12.30 of the ESSL 3.00 spec on p143-144:
Indexing of arrays of samplers by constant-index-expressions is
supported in GLSL ES 1.00. A constant-index-expression is an
expression formed from constant-expressions and certain loop indices,
defined for a subset of loop constructs. Should this functionality be
included in GLSL ES 3.00?
RESOLUTION: No. Arrays of samplers may only be indexed by constant-
integral-expressions.

Fix Regex in DebugShaderPrecisionTest.
One regex had an extra parenthesis. Also confirms that we can use raw
string literals to produce more readable regexes.

Implement Draw base vertex and base instance functions
This patch implements functionality of glDrawArraysInstancedBaseInstanceANGLE,
glDrawElementsInstancedBaseVertexBaseInstanceANGLE,
glMultiDrawArraysInstancedBaseInstanceANGLE,
and glMultiDrawElementsInstancedBaseVertexBaseInstanceANGLE
Workaround for OpenGL driver on Mac:
gl_VertexID on Mac with AMD GPU doesn't include baseVertex value.
So replace gl_VertexID with (gl_VertexID + angle_BaseVertex) if any.
Workaround for Vulkan GLSL:
gl_InstanceIndex on Vulkan includes baseInstance. So replace
gl_InstanceIndex with (gl_InstanceIndex - angle_BaseInstance) when
angle_BaseInstance is declared.

Don't build symbol table for GLSL built-ins if on Android
The GLSL + ESSL autogenerated symbol table is too large for
android, and android also doesn't need desktop GL functionality
If on android, compile the ESSL only symbol table

Use flat arrays instead of switches for function lookups
Current implementation of built in function lookup uses
autogenerated switch statements. Instead, use the perfect
hash mapping to have the lookup use arrays instead. This
will improve runtime performance.

Change gl_DrawID from level = ESSL1+ESSL3 to COMMON
Built in variable gl_DrawID is exposed to ESSL1 with
a suffix, when the variable is the exact same. No need
to do this.

Autogenerated kFunction* variables detected as mutable constants
The android binary size is increased incorrectly because the autogen
kFunction* variables are detected as mutable constants. Rename them to
function* to workaround this.
