  Portability problems fixed by Gnulib:

  Minix 3.1.8, HP-UX 11.00, mingw, MSVC 9, Android 7.1.

  This function does not support the @code{"tolower"} and @code{"toupper"}
  mappings on some platforms:
  NetBSD 10.0.
  (It returns non-null values for the arguments @code{"towlower"} and
  @code{"towupper"}, but with these values, the function @code{towctrans}
  always crashes.)

  Portability problems not fixed by Gnulib:

  On Windows and 32-bit AIX platforms, @code{wchar_t} is a 16-bit type and therefore cannot
  accommodate all Unicode characters.
  However, the Gnulib function @code{c32_get_mapping}, provided by Gnulib module
  @code{c32_get_mapping}, operates on 32-bit wide characters and therefore does
  not have this limitation.
