    path: reject .gitmodules as a symlink

Any part of the library which asks the question can pass in the mode to have it
checked against `.gitmodules` being a symlink.

This is particularly relevant for adding entries to the index from the worktree
and for checking out files.

    • Write your modules and tests. Use good, meaningful names.

    • Make sure you actually build the tests by setting: 

        cmake -DBUILD_CLAR=ON build/

    • Test: 

        ./build/libgit2_clar

    • Make sure everything is fine.

    • Send your pull request. That’s it.
